  • Zinc plays a crucial role in the synthesis of protein, DNA and RNA and is essential to maintain the normal function of the pancreas and prostate gland, as well as for reproductive organ growth. Zinc has a specific role in protein synthesis, is essential for cell growth and the regeneration of tissue, as well as for the utilization of Vitamins B1 and A. Zinc is involved in tissue respiration by the intake of oxygen and expulsion of carbon dioxide, such as superoxide dismutase, an antioxidant enzyme which has a role in combating free radicals in the body. Trophic’s patented Albion Zinc, chelated with natural amino acids, provides superior biological activity, bioavailability and absorption.

Zinc supplementation should be made as required to provide a balanced diet, or as directed by the veterinarian.

An Essential Supplement by Melissa Taetsch (Lake Ann Mi US)

Zinc gluconate was included in the diet Monica prepared for my dog. It was very easy to crush and mix into his food. He had IBD and was able to go off all meds with this diet.

Zinc Gluconate by Cherrill Jamieson (Edmonton AB CA)

I have an IBD dog whose diet was formulated by Monica, and this product is one of his supplements. Because of his condition, he can only have premium quality supplements added to his meals. He has done extremely well on his diet.
