These items are really special. They combine a beautiful look with real functionality that’s been thought out during the design phase. There are so many products on the market that we wanted to show you not only what we like, but also what can be helpful to dogs whether they have certain challenges or are perfectly healthy.

This dog bowl set proves that function and style aren’t mutually exclusive. For those with contemporary styled living spaces, these blend in seamlessly – raised but not too high. Dishwasher safe.
These food and water bowl mats are super absorbent, look great in your house, easy to wash/wipe and don’t slip. They work well with the feeders above (same company)
One of Jody’s top selling beds from her days of store ownership. These beds are so durable, easy to wash and come out looking new each time. Her own dog rotates between this bed and the orthopedic memory foam bed shown further down this page.
This cave bed is great for dogs who like to be under the covers, terriers who like to burrow are just one example.
- Sherpa lining for warmth in winter and cool in summer
- Removable washable/dryable cover
- Heavy duty brass zipper. Zippered liner
The double donut bed looks like a little sofa (adorable or what?) Removable orthopedic foam insert and tufted cushion provide the ultimate in support and comfort.
This bed is waterproof, memory foam for good support at a very fair price. If you think it may be silly to have more than one bed for a dog and memory foam sounds over the top, keep in mind that dogs don’t show aches and pains until they can’t help it. This means the younger dog with energy to burn can have sore muscles, but did you know that even younger dogs can be arthritic – many by 3 years of age. Being proactive by offering your dog a supportive surface is a kindness we believe in. Jody’s dog rotates between choosing this bed and the double donut bed above.
This gate is in the home of one of Monica’s neighbors. The dog isn’t a chewer and the gate blends in with the rest of the decor, so it provides more than basic function. Shown in cherry stain finish, also available in white.
Air quality is taken for granted by some healthy people but ask anyone with allergies (is your dog scratching a lot?), asthma or other breathing challenges and they’ll explain how the quality can make or break their lives. It’s that dramatic. In fact, air quality is one of the big issues under consideration for brain health as well. Newer studies point to mold spores contributing to cognitive decline.
Good air purifiers are expensive, but not nearly as costly as medical/veterinary care needed to combat some of the diseases poor air quality can be responsible for. We may think the air in our homes is fine because we feel great, but there’s a wake-up call when a higher end air cleaner monitors the air and can show the readings for mold, bacteria, VOC and the ultra fine particles rather than dust alone. Ratings of air purifiers are iffy in my opinion because we’ve had different ones that were supposedly equal, but that’s not what we found in real life.
We chose the Dyson Pure Cool, DP-04-HEPA Air Purifier And Fan for several reasons. Honestly, if you’d told me I’d be writing accolades about this product I’d have laughed – but in my opinion it’s that good.
Dyson says “The sealed HEPA filter captures 99. 97 percent of allergens as small as 0. 3 microns makes this an ideal air purifier for allergies, pets, dust, pollen and mold spores.” True! I was experiencing odd sneezing ‘attacks’ in the late evenings even though I’ve never been diagnosed with allergies. They stopped cold. Morley’s ‘stuffed sinuses’ magically unstuffed themselves 😊 This house is less dusty. The Dyson cleans a fairly large space rather than one room. We don’t have an open concept space here, yet the purifier does a great job of keeping the air clean in all rooms on one floor.
The fact that it reports humidity is a plus because 40-60% humidity lowers flu transmission. It also automatically senses & reports air quality on its LCD display, including ultrafine particles (PM 2.5), allergens (PM10), VOCs & NO2.
A major benefit in my world is the oscillating fan that moves almost 350 degrees. As a woman of a certain age (ahem) with sensitivity to heat, being able to keep the room cooler is perfect! The house can stay warmer while my area has the option of cooling without it affecting others.
Smart-phone compatible and Alexa enabled (not something I care about, but you might!), night-mode with a dimmed screen so as not to disturb our sleep.
Cleaner air = healthier people and pets. We truly believe in this product.
